BANNER PUBLIC SCHOOLS

 

 

As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Elementary School District No. 31 of Canadian County, Oklahoma will hold a REGULAR MEETING on June 12, 2023, at six o’clock p.m. in the Banner School Cafeteria, Banner Public Schools, located at 2455 N. Banner Road, El Reno, Oklahoma.

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:

Call meeting to order.

Roll call.

Board to consider the following minutes with possible action:

  1. May 8, 2023 Regular Meeting Minutes,

      b.  May 11, 2023 Special Meeting Minutes, 

      c.  May 25, 2023 Special Meeting Minutes.

 

Communication.

 

PTA Report.

Open Issues:

 

1. Discussion and possible board action regarding the P.T.A.  financial audit report.

 

2. Discussion and possible board action regarding the sanctioning of P.T.A. for the 2023/2024 school. 

           

3. ECI Agency to present school insurance renewal options with BOE discussion and possible action regarding the selection of the 2023/2024 school insurance provider and coverage.

 

4. Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2023/2024 contractual agreement between Canadian County  Education Center (CCEC) and Banner School District.

 

5. Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2023/2024 contractual agreement between Youth and Family Services and Banner School District.

 

6. Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2023/2024 BOE Treasurer’s Certificate and Municipal Order.

 

7. Discussion and possible board action regarding the authorization for the school year 2023/2024 Federal Expenditure Reports.

 

8. Discussion and possible board action to approve/not approve the resignation of Ashley McDonald as a certified teacher.

 

9. Discussion and possible board action to approve/not approve the resignation of Nathaniel Walk as a certified teacher.

 

10.  Discussion and possible board action regarding whether to pay all Banner employees that are employed on August 10, 2023, a one-time stipend payment in the amount of $500.00 , with the stipulation that such stipend amount is for employees for the 2023/2024 school year and such is not to become part of the continuing contract of any teacher or support employee, and thus, no teacher or support employee reemployed shall have any property right to this stipend in any subsequent fiscal year.

 

 

11.  Proposed executive session to discuss

 

  1. the 2023/2024 employment status and  contract of support employee Grant Wilson,

 

  1. the extra duty contract of Samantha Smith,

 

  1. the employment contract of George Wilson for the 2023/2024 school year,

 

  1. the hiring of new certified teachers for the 2023/2024 school year

         pursuant to 25 O.S., Section 307(B)(1).

 

           12.  Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session.

 

           13.  Acknowledge Return to Open Session.

 

           14.  Executive Session Minutes Compliance Announcement.

         

           15.  Discussion and possible board action regarding the 2023/2024

           employment and contract of Grant Wilson.

 

           16.  Discussion and possible board action regarding the extra duty contract of

            Samantha Smith.

    

           17.  Discussion and possible board action regarding the employment contract of

           George Wilson.

 

            

            18.  Discussion and possible board action to employ new certified teachers on  

          temporary contracts for the 2023/2024 school year.
